About Rate My Strips

One number, zero categories. You taste the strips, you give them a score from 0.0 to 10.0, and the average does the rest.

Why this exists

Every review site rates the restaurant. Almost none of them rate the thing you actually came for. If you want to know whether the chicken strips are worth the drive, a four-star average covering the parking, the service and someone's birthday party does not help.

So: one score, one thing, one opinion per person. Anyone can add a place, anyone can score it, and the average means something because nobody gets to vote twice.

Who runs it

Rate My Strips is operated by Rate My Strips. It is an independent site: nobody pays to appear here, nobody pays to have a score changed, and there is no advertising. Questions, corrections and complaints all go to the contact page.

How scoring works

  • 8.5 Elite 8.5 and up
  • 7.5 Great 7.5 and up
  • 6.0 Solid 6.0 and up
  • 4.5 Decent 4.5 and up
  • 2.5 Rough 2.5 and up
  • 0.0 Avoid 0.0 and up

The rules

  • One score per person, per place. You can edit or delete yours at any time, but you can't stack the average.
  • Scores go to one decimal. 7.4 and 7.6 are different opinions, and the difference matters.
  • Rate the strips. Not the parking, not the service, not the wait. The strips.
  • Photos help. A picture of the actual basket tells the next person more than a paragraph.
  • Anyone can add a place. Anywhere that serves chicken strips is fair game.

Install the app

  • iOS Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen.
  • Android Chrome: menu → Install app.
  • Desktop: the install icon in the address bar.
