Terms of service
Post honest opinions about chicken strips, don't post anything false or abusive, and we'll get along fine.
1. Using the site
By using Rate My Strips you agree to these terms. You need an account to post, you must be at least 13, and you must give a real email address you control. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What you post
You keep ownership of your reviews and photos. By posting them you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store and distribute them as part of running and promoting the site. That licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies already held in backups until those rotate out.
You promise that what you post:
- is yours to post, and doesn't infringe anyone's copyright;
- reflects a genuine, first-hand experience;
- is honest opinion or accurate fact, not something you know to be false;
- isn't abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene or a threat;
- isn't spam, advertising, or a review you were paid to leave.
3. Reviewing honestly
One score per person, per place. Do not review a business you own, work for, or compete with. Do not create additional accounts to change an average, and do not organise others to do it for you. We remove reviews and suspend accounts for this.
4. Places and businesses
Anyone can add a place. Listings are created by the public and are not endorsements, and a business does not have to agree to be listed. Scores are the opinions of individual reviewers, not statements of fact by us.
If you run a business listed here and something is inaccurate, or a review breaks the rules above, use the contact form. We will look at it. We will not remove a review simply because it is unflattering — a negative honest opinion is exactly what this site is for.
5. Moderation
Anyone signed in can report a review or a place. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, and we may do so without notice where the content is clearly abusive or illegal. Suspended accounts can still read the site; they cannot post.
6. Copyright complaints
If something here infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a link to the material, proof you own it, and your contact details. We remove infringing material once we can confirm the claim.
7. Your account
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaks these terms. Places you added remain on the map, because other people's reviews depend on them.
8. The site itself
Rate My Strips is provided as-is. We do not promise it will always be available, that listings or scores are accurate, or that a restaurant still exists or still serves what a review describes. Check before you drive.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will tell you directly if a change is significant. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
